Bike to Work and School Day

bike to work and school

Josh Underhay was an avid cyclist. He could often be seen cycling to work and around town (whatever the weather) with a PEI flag on the back of his bike and his sons, Oliver and Linden, in tow. He was an amazing advocate for cycling infrastructure in the City as well. He wanted other people to experience the joys and benefits of biking and he put his energy into helping to pave the way for them, literally.

The City of Charlottetown’s Bike to Work and School day is an annual event. This year we wanted to hold this event in honour of Josh and Oliver and encourage residents to commute like they did so often, by bicycle.

We hope you can join us in our efforts to share Josh and Oliver's legacy with the community by biking to work or school on Friday, June 21st, 2019.

If you need assistance with planning the best cycling route for your commute, visit us at the Farmer's Market on Wednesday, June 19th for assistance - or check out our cycling maps.
