The City of Charlottetown is hosting some exciting events for local ghosts, goblins, princesses, and super heroes.

The annual Great Pumpkin Walk will look a bit different this year. Families are invited to come to the Beach Grove Nature Trail behind the Beach Grove Home on Saturday, October 24 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. (noon). Each family will be able to pick out a complimentary pumpkin (while supplies last) to carve at home. Families are encouraged to go for a self-guided walk along the Beach Grove Nature Trail or a trail of their choosing.

The Parks and Recreation Department has launched a new initiative called Halloween BOOket-List Bingo. This family friendly game includes a variety of Halloween themed activities, like: carve a pumpkin, pick out a Halloween costume, or make a craft. Children are invited, if they dare, to venture through the “friendly” haunted forest located behind the Victoria Park Baseball Clubhouse and present their completed Bingo cards on Saturday, October 24 to staff between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each child that trades in a completed card will receive a treat bag (while supplies last). Bingo cards are available for download under the Events & Initiatives tab, or pick up a printed card at City Hall (199 Queen Street) during office hours.

Participants of either event are asked to follow public health guidelines with physical distancing in mind. The Halloween BOOket-List Bingo initiative is being held in lieu of the City hosted Halloween parties.
