New this year, the Mayor’s Cup will feature an online auction which will be open to the public starting today (Tuesday, August 25). The online auction includes everything from two Sonos Speakers valued at $500, to an Exclusive Cabot Links and Cliffs Golf Resort Package valued at more than $1,500. “It’s amazing to see the progress that has been made within the last 10 years of The Mayor’s Cup. The event has been very successful in raising much needed funds to allow us to continue to aid more families dealing with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis of a loved one. I would like to thank the Mayor and City of Charlottetown for their continued support,” said Ron Casey, Executive Director of the Stars for Life Foundation.

The Mayor’s Cup was developed to help raise funds for the Stars for Life Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to safeguard the future of young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder by working to provide lifelong living and learning opportunities while helping them remain fully included in their communities. The Mayor’s Cup is at capacity for teams and the planning committee sends thanks to the local community for their continued support for this important fundraiser.

“I’m very excited to be able to contribute and host this excellent event,” said Mayor Philip Brown. “It’s great we were able to go ahead to celebrate the tenth year, while abiding by all the health and safety protocols laid out by the Chief Public Health Officer. The online auction is packed with all kinds of valuable items donated by local businesses and is open to the public. I can’t wait to get out and support such a good cause!”
