Mood Booster Virtual Fitness Classes
From Tuesday, January 25 to Friday, January 28, a new 30-minute “mood booster” fitness class will be posted daily at 9:00 a.m. Each class will feature a local fitness instructor, including Mel Martell (Stride PEI), Lacey Koughan (24strong), and yoga instructor Cynthia Dennis.

Winter Lights Photo Challenge
From Monday, January 24 to Sunday, March 6, help showcase the city’s magical décor with the Winter Lights Photo Challenge. To enter, capture and post a photo of Charlottetown’s winter lights and décor to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag,
#WinterLightsYYG. A weekly winner will be announced on Mondays via social media, and all weekly winners will be entered to win a grand prize full of local goodies.
Winter Wonderland Home Decorating Contest
Registration now closed.
Celebrate winter in your neighbourhood by decorating your home and front yard with creative elements such as lighting, snow construction, and other winter décor materials. To encourage broader participation, a new Community Organization category was created for locations such as businesses, seniors’ homes and places of worship.
Registration is open until 4:30 p.m. on
Friday, February 11. Winners will be announced the week of February 14.
Virtual Family Dance Parties
A new winter-themed virtual family dance party featuring fun, upbeat music, local winter scenes, and special appearances by some mascot favourites. Join in the fun live
Saturday, January 29 at 6:30 p.m. The dance party will also be rebroadcasted on
Saturday, February 12 and 26 at 6:30 p.m. The virtual family dance party is produced by Universum Media and DJ Josh Hood.

Virtual Art Parties
Learn how to paint winter scenes at the family-friendly virtual art parties hosted by East Coast Art Party. Join us at one of three upcoming art parties on
Saturday February 12, 19 and 26 beginning at 9:00 a.m. (videos will be available until 9:00 p.m. the following day).
Each art party has 50 free art kits available for pick up at City Hall on a first-come, first-served basis beginning 8:00 a.m. on the Monday before each Art Party. While City Hall is currently closed to the public, the reception desk is staffed and will arrange contactless pick up for the kits. Limit of two kits per household per week.

For those who are not able to access a free art kit but would still like to participate, you will require:
- 8x10 canvas
- Acrylic paint (5 colors: red, blue, yellow, black, and white)
- 3 brushes (small, medium and a large)
- A cup for water
- Napkins
- A mixing plate for the paint.
