The City of Charlottetown will be offering a workshop on container gardening for kids ages 6 to 10 years of age. The City will deliver the workshop in partnership with The Burly Farmer, who will work with participants to get hands-on experience planting vegetables.
The City of Charlottetown designed this free workshop to provide practical and educational information on growing food and plants in small spaces such as balconies and containers. The workshop will involve the planting of four community vegetable planters in Orlebar Park. Those who attend the workshop will plant a vegetable container to take home and grow their food.
The workshop will be held at Orlebar Park on Saturday, June 5, from 10 am-noon. Pre-registration is required as the event will be capped at 16 kids.
