Boardwalk Replacement

Boardwalk Replacement between the Celtic Monument and Paoli’s Wharf
Posted on 10/02/2019
The replacement of the City of Charlottetown Boardwalk, located between the Celtic Monument and Paoli’s Wharf, is underway. Public access is not permitted during the construction. Barricades and signs are in place to notify the public and direct people around the area.

Construction on the boardwalk began October 1 and is expected to be complete at the end of November. The scope of the work includes: removal of the old boardwalk, upgrading the stringers, upgrading the decking to a marine-grade lumber, upgrading the material below some of the benches, and increasing the number of benches.
