The City of Charlottetown is currently seeking applications for two vacancies on the Charlottetown Area Development Corporation (CADC) Board of Directors.

The purpose of CADC is to innovate, invest and provide expertise for projects; act as a catalyst with the private sector; and initiate development projects and facilitate urban renewal. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and be residents or property owners in the City of Charlottetown, with the exception of individuals who work in the City of Charlottetown and have expertise specifically required for the Board to meet its mandate.

The CADC Board of Directors is comprised of seven persons designated by the Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council (Province of PEI), two persons designated by the City of Charlottetown, and one person designated by the Town of Stratford. As per the CADC guidelines, it is recommended that board members collectively have the following attributes: (a) property development/management experience; (b) entrepreneur; (c) representation of social interests; (d) a member of a regulated profession i.e. lawyer or accountant; and (e) successful community/business leaders/managers.

The deadline for application is Tuesday, November 12 by 4:30 p.m. Applicants are encouraged review the City’s Public Appointment Policy and include a resume with their application (email to hr@charlottetown.ca). Only those selected to sit on CADC’s Board of Directors will be contacted.
