City Announces Open House to Hear Public Input on 2019 Budget

The City of Charlottetown’s Finance, Audit and Tendering Committee is inviting the public to a pre-budget open house. The committee, members of Council and city staff will be collecting input from the public on how they would like to see money allocated on services and programs in the Capital City for the 2019 budget.

The informal, drop-in style open house will be held on Tuesday, January 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall (199 Queen Street). This event will provide residents with the opportunity to meet with Standing Committee members, departmental managers and staff to address any budget-related questions or provide suggestions on what the City might be able to do in its 2019/20 capital and operational budgets.

An online survey is available for residents to submit comments and feedback. The survey will also be available in hardcopy at the open house. To access the survey, visit: www.charlottetown.ca/budget

Comments are also being accepted through email, social media or written submissions.

Feedback can also be drop off at the main floor reception desk at City Hall, 199 Queen Street, with the envelope clearly marked to the attention of the CAO.
