The City of Charlottetown is relaunching the successful Operation ReLeaf – Charlottetown program for fall 2023. Operation ReLeaf – Charlottetown was created in partnership with Tree Canada and provides eligible homeowners the opportunity to plant a single large, climate resilient tree on their private property.
A maximum of 75 eligible homeowners will be able to purchase a tree for $20 that will then be delivered to their home. Homeowners must meet the program criteria and be willing to dig the hole for the tree in an agreed location. If more than 75 applications are received before September 1st, priority will be given to those who indicate that financial barriers would prevent them from planting trees on their property without this program, and to those residential properties in priority areas with highest tree canopy loss or narrow city right of way.
Registration for the fall Operation ReLeaf – Charlottetown program is open now and planting will take place in mid-September. Interested residents can apply online at
