Posted on 06/29/2020
The City of Charlottetown and Charlottetown Area Development Corporation (CADC) will reinstate the monthly parking fees at the Queen Street and Pownal parkades starting Monday, July 6.

Beginning on March 19 and through the months of April, May, and June, parking was available in the downtown core at no cost, in an effort to support residents during the global pandemic.

Billing will resume automatically for anyone with a monthly parking pass and daily/hourly fees will apply to others using the parkade from July 6 forward. The Fitzroy Parkade will remain temporarily closed for construction. As always, the Pownal and Queen parkades are open and free on the weekends and statutory holidays.

For further information on the parkades, contact CADC at 902-892-5341 or visit

Fees will also be reinstated for metered parking on July 6. Charlottetown Police Services will begin to enforce time-related meter violations.
