The City of Charlottetown and go!PEI, through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation, will be offering another year of the Jumpstart I Love to Skate Program. This free program is an Island-wide, winter activity designed to encourage all children to be more active and learn the fundamentals of skating. Registration for the Jumpstart I Love to Skate Program is now open.

The program will take place on Thursdays from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., from February 13 to March 19, at the Cody Banks Arena (58 Maple Avenue).

Jumpstart I Love to Skate programs will also be offered by community partners in the Town of Stratford and the City of Summerside, as well as various communities covered by the three regional sports and recreation councils. Each program is 45 minutes and runs weekly for a minimum of six weeks. It’s designed for children of all abilities, ages 4-18. Registration is limited to the first 30 individuals.

To register for the Charlottetown program, please email the City of Charlottetown Assistant Program Coordinator at bmacdonald@charlottetown.ca or, for more information, call 902-368-1025.
