Spring & Summer Program Brochure Now Available

2020 Spring and Summer Program Brochure Now Available
Posted on 04/30/2020
This is the time of year that the City of Charlottetown Parks and Recreation Department would typically release the 2020 Spring and Summer Program Brochure and also begin registration for spring and summer programs and camps.

All of the scheduled registration dates for the Parks and Recreation Departments direct delivery programs have been placed on hold. When new dates are scheduled they will be communicated with the public via the City’s website and social media channels. The following registration dates have been put on hold: Summer Day Camp registration, Intro to Sports registration, and registration for Summer Tennis Sessions 1 and 2 (the Spring Tennis Session and Youth Ball Hockey programs have been canceled).

The Spring and Summer Program Brochure is now available online at: www.charlottetown.ca under Recreation and Leisure. The brochure was finalized prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, so some of the program dates and registration deadlines have changed.

As the province and the country continue to practice social distancing and staying home as much as possible, things are going to look a little different this Spring/Summer. The Parks and Recreation Department is following directive from the Chief Public Health Office and will follow their lead as the phases of the Renew PEI Together plan rolls out.

Limited printed quantities of the brochure will also be available when City Community Centres reopen to the public.

Activities listed in the brochure include direct delivery programs presented by the Parks and Recreation Department, and a variety of programs and services offered by volunteer-based organizations throughout the city. To confirm program dates, residents are encouraged to contact the direct delivery organization that the program falls under. The City of Charlottetown will be communicating Parks and Recreation program and registration delays through the City’s website and social media accounts.

For program information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at: 902-368-1025.
