Traffic Advisory: Jack Frost Winterfest

The Jack Frost Winterfest is taking place February 14 – 17 at Confederation Landing, Founders’ Food Hall and Market, Confederation Centre of the Arts and Delta/PEI Convention Centre. A special Jack Frost Winterfest event – Aurora – will take place on Victoria Row and part of Queen Street.

During the festival, there will be increased pedestrian traffic downtown. Motorists are asked to use caution and slow down, especially into the evening as it gets dark.

On Saturday, February 15, the Jack Frost Winterfest will be hosting Aurora from 6:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. on Victoria Row and a section of Queen Street. Aurora is a free event featuring a DJ, live ice sculpting, a marshmallow station, buskers, and a pyrotechnic display.

In order to accommodate the Jack Frost Winterfest event, the following parking restrictions and road closures will be in place:

Temporary road closures on the lower part of Prince Street at Water Street during the following periods:
o Friday, February 14 from 3p.m. to 11 p.m.
o Saturday, February 15 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
o Sunday, February 16 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
o Monday, February 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Richmond Street (Victoria Row) will be closed between Queen Street and Great George Street from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 15.

Queen Street will be closed between Grafton Street and Richmond Street from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15.
