Traffic Advisory for Wednesday, August 4

A traffic advisory has been issued with the following traffic flow impacts expected for Wednesday, August 4:

• Sidewalk and curbing work is scheduled to take place in the following areas for (the week of August 3-6):
o Heather Avenue, between Oak Drive and Doncaster Avenue
o Patton Court, off of Upper Queen Street
o Goodwill Avenue, between Viceroy Avenue and Sidmount Avenue
o Alexander Drive, between Orlebar Street and Gerald Street


• Tree maintenance is scheduled to take place in the following areas on Wednesday:
o Lower Water Street, off Great George Street at Peaks Quay, from approximately 8 a.m. until 9 a.m., will be closed to vehicle traffic.
o Prince Street, between Grafton Street and Richmond Street, from approximately 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., will be reduced to one lane of stop-and-go traffic. Sidewalks in the work area will be closed to pedestrian traffic.
o Euston Street, between Pleasant Street and Edward Street, from approximately 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., will be closed to vehicle traffic.
o Nassau Street, between Queen Street and Dunkirk Street, from approximately 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., will be reduced to one lane of stop-and-go traffic.

• 4th Street, between Upton Road and the bypass, will be closed for the day Wednesday. This closure is necessary street milling work to occur. Business only traffic will be permitted. The Public Works Department apologizes for any inconvenience to the public.
• Spencer Drive, between Babineau Avenue and Towers Road, will be closed. This closure is necessary for the construction of the new road to connect Towers Rd, and Spencer Dr. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to help direct drivers around the site. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

• Work continues on the new library on Queen Street, between Richmond Street and Sydney Street. This section of sidewalk remains open to pedestrian traffic with signage in place as this work is ongoing.
• A section of the boardwalk that runs along the waterfront parallel to Haviland Street, adjacent to the Culinary Institute and the Armoury, will be closed to pedestrians during the construction of a project at 15 Haviland Street. Those using the boardwalk will need to go around the site while exploratory excavation work related to a future building and the existing storm-water pipe is completed.
