Posted on 10/29/2020
The City of Charlottetown would like to inform the public that Victoria Row, between Queen Street and Great George Street, as well as the Victoria Park Active Transportation Pathway, will open to motorists beginning Monday, November 2.

Both Victoria Row and the Victoria Park Active Transportation Pathway, will be dedicated to pedestrians and active transportation until the end of day on Sunday, November 1.

Victoria Row will remain open to vehicular traffic until May 2021, when it will close again to vehicles to accommodate pedestrians in this area during the Spring/Summer months.

Two-way vehicle traffic on the Victoria Park Roadway will be restored on Monday, November 2, as per the Victoria Park Bylaw on seasonal use of this roadway. The Victoria Park Active Transportation Pathway (Cycling Lane) will reopen again in the spring of 2021.

Motorists are also reminded to share the road with cyclists, as with any public streets and roads in the City, under the Highway Safety Act. Cyclists are encouraged to continue to cycle around the park even though it is not exclusive use in the winter months.
