This event (with live music, speeches and hors d’oeuvres) launches the CNIB's "Don't Forget to Ring" Campaign, which encourages riders to fit their bikes with loud bells, and to use them when approaching pedestrians, while also giving as wide a berth as possible - similar to what bike riders ask when sharing the road with cars and trucks. The trail is a wonderful shared, multi-use active transportation pathway, and proper bell use is a great way to support people of all abilities to get out and enjoy health and fresh air.
