Walking Tours

Charlottetown is an extremely walkable city. Self-guided downtown walking routes, the Charlottetown Garden Tour, and the Charlottetown ArtWalk are just a few ways to explore our beautiful and historic downtown.

For more information, or to schedule a guided tour, please contact the City of Charlottetown Visitor Information Centre at 902.629.4116. You can also visit us in City Hall at 199 Queen Street. Please note that guided tours are available Monday through Friday during July and August.

Downtown Walking Routes
There are three self-guided walking routes featured on Discover Charlottetown's downtown walking map. Follow the coloured lines on the sidewalk to stay on-track with the map. 

1. Heritage Walk (3.4 km) - Red Line
2. Waterfront Walk (6.4 km) - Blue Line
3. Shops & Services Walk (2.2 km) - Yellow Line

- Founders Hall Provincial Visitor Information Centre (6 Prince St)
Charlottetown Garden Tour
Explore Charlottetown's beautiful public gardens with the Charlottetown Garden Tour. This walking tour visits a number of community gardens, landmarks, and gardens in parks and on street corners in the downtown.

During July and August, complimentary guided Garden Tours leave from the City Hall Visitor Information Centre (199 Queen Street) at 10:30AM and 2:30PM daily, Monday through Friday.
Charlottetown ArtWalk
The Charlottetown ArtWalk is a new initiative that was created by the Charlottetown Arts Advisory Board. It is a self-guided walking tour that visits unique public art installations throughout the city's downtown.
