The City of Charlottetown is gearing up for Bike Week 2026, taking place from June 8 to 14. The City and local partners are planning a week-long series of fun and engaging events to promote riding bikes as a healthy, sustainable, low-cost and accessible form of transportation.
Throughout the week, residents of all ages are encouraged to participate in activities that celebrate the joy of biking and highlight the progress made in creating a more bike-friendly capital area.
This year’s celebrations will feature a lesson on commuting by bike in Charlottetown, a bike tour of Wright’s Creek with the Charlottetown Area Watershed Association, guided group rides through different parts of the city, the annual Mayor’s Ride, as well as celebrations with each of our Bike Bus schools. These events showcase the collaborative efforts of the City to enhance active transportation infrastructure and support community well-being. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to connect with local biking advocates and explore healthier, more sustainable ways to move around Charlottetown.
