Rooted in Art

Rooted in Art

Rooted in Art is a celebration of Charlottetown's beautiful urban forest! The initiative involves local artists creating art installations in Charlottetown trees that allow participants to see trees through the eyes of local artists, observing and interacting with these essential assets in new ways.

To learn more about Rooted in Art and see the inspiring art installations that have been created in past years, check out Rooted in Art 2020 and Rooted in Art 2021

Rooted in Art 2022 is on now!

Delayed due to Hurricane Fiona, this year's initiative will look a little different. With the loss of so many trees, and cleanup efforts ongoing, this year the art installations will be displayed inside the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre (97 Queen Street) from November 14 to 22, 2022 at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre. And be sure to join us at the library on November 16th from 3PM - 6PM for a Tree Reclamation Open House to see all four installations from five Island artists!
