Safety Requirement: Skates and a CSA-approved helmet must be worn on the ice or access will not be permitted.

Fireworks
A brilliant display of lights and colours launched from the waterfront at Port Charlottetown.

Road Closures:
Prince Street south of Water Street and the east gate of the CADC Peakes Wharf parking lot will be closed from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. During this time, the parking lot will remain open to the public via the west gate entrance at Peakes Quay, starting at 3 p.m.
Barricades will be in place at the following locations after 6:30 p.m. to assist police with directing traffic from the event site:
• Water Street and Great George Street (east side of intersection)
• Water Street and Hillsborough Street (west side of intersection)
• Prince Street at King Street (south side of intersection)
• Hillsborough Street and King Street (south side of intersection)
•Stan MacPherson Way will be closed from Water Street to the CADC Rail Yard parking lot.
Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle or take T3 Transit to the Capital New Year celebrations to reduce traffic congestion and avoid parking challenges.
Parking:
Parking is available at the Port Charlottetown Parking Lot, the lot behind the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI building, and the Peakes Quay parking lot (access via Great George Street). Additional parking can also be found throughout the downtown core and on nearby side streets.
For those planning to attend specifically for the fireworks, please plan ahead. Road closures will begin at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
