The City of Charlottetown is seeking input from residents and businesses as part of its review of the City’s Zoning and Development Bylaw.
The updated bylaw will serve as the regulatory framework for land use development in Charlottetown, introducing zoning categories and design guidelines. Public consultation is a key component of the bylaw review and residents are invited to attend one of the following public open houses to learn more and share their views on land-use zoning in the city.
Date: Wednesday, May 14
Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
Location: Simmons Sports Centre, Multipurpose Room, 170 North River Road
Date: Thursday, May 15
Time: 6 to 9 p.m.
Location: West Royalty Community Centre, Upton Room, 1 Kirkdale Road
As part of the City’s commitment to the federal Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) program, the intended changes to the bylaw will focus on enabling a broader range of housing solutions and streamlining approval processes to reduce red tape associated with development approvals.
