Marshfield Area Property Owners Request for Annexation Approved

In response to some Marshfield area property owners, the City Charlottetown has been approved to proceed with a municipal restructuring to changes its boundaries. The request to expand the city boundary relates to seven Marshfield area properties (approximately 116.30 aces) that do not currently have a local government or municipal services.

Charlottetown City Council approved the City’s proposed 2022-2023 Capital Budget. The city’s approved Capital Budget is $90.41M, less partner funding of $30.88M, and $13.40M, less partner funding of $8.67M, for Water and Sewer Utility Corporation, for a total of approximately $103.8M. The approved Capital Budget will help the city continue to plan for the future by investing in the community and maintaining the delivery of essential services.
