Bike Week 2025
Charlottetown Bike Week is back and will take place June 7 to 13! The City is partnering with local cycling organizations, businesses and neighbouring municipalities to offer a week-long series of fun and engaging events aimed at promoting cycling as a healthy, sustainable and accessible form of transportation.
Throughout the week, residents of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate in activities that celebrate the joy of biking and highlight the progress made in building more bike friendly communities.

All Week
Celebrate Charlottetown Bike Week 2025 by planning a Family & Friends Bike Ride! MacQueen's Bike Shop & Island Tours has over a dozen self-guided bicycle day tours to inspire you. The routes are downloadable, publicly accessible and free of charge. Stop into MacQueen’s during Bike Week for a chance to win a $75 voucher to spend in store.
There's also a chance to win a $75 MacQueens voucher! Here's how:
1) Stop in at MacQueens before your ride to pick up Bike Week postcard.
2) While you're out on tour, find a spot to stop and snap a photo of your tour group with a Bike Week postcard.
3) Post the pic on social media, tagging MacQueens.
4) The best photo from the week wins a $75 voucher to spend in store!
Check out the Walk & Roll in Charlottetown Heritage Exhibit display in Victoria Park, located along the pathway between the outdoor pool and the Jumpstart playground. Stroll through the exhibit and learn about the history and growing popularity of active transportation in Charlottetown.
Saturday, June 7
Demystifying E-Bikes for Seniors
9 a.m. & 11 a.m.
Location: Culinary Institute Culinary Institute of Canada Parking Lot
Hosts: Cycling PEI and Rising Tide E-Bikes
Cycling PEI and Rising Tide E-Bikes will host free e-bike events for seniors (60+) in the parking lot of the Culinary Institute of Canada, located at 4 Sydney Street. Participants will receive an e-bike lesson before heading out on a guided group ride. Free refreshments will follow the ride. Please note that participants must already know how to ride a conventional two wheeled bike. Registration is required and can be done online or by contacting Cycling PEI at [email protected] or 902-368-4985.
HopOn Kids Cycling Course
9 – 10 a.m.
Location: Cornwall Town Hall
Hosts: Cycling PEI and Town of Cornwall
HopOn is a games-based cycling course for kids aged 6-13 who are comfortable riding a bike without training wheels and want to advance their skills. Presented by Cycling PEI and the Town of Cornwall, HopOn participants will receive tips from Cycling Canada-trained coaches in a fun and engaging environment. Registration is required and can be done online.

Downtown ArtCycle
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Location: Charlottetown City Hall
Host: City of Charlottetown
Join the Downtown ArtCycle for a fun and inspiring bicycle tour of public art in Charlottetown’s vibrant downtown! Starting at City Hall, 199 Queen Street, this guided ride showcases the city’s artistic treasures and cultural landmarks, all while promoting sustainable transportation. Bring your bike, your curiosity and your love for local art!

Bike to School Day

Thank You for Biking Campaign
Location: Charlottetown
Host: City of Charlottetown
Ride your bike in Charlottetown during Bike Week, and you may receive a “Thank You for Biking” bike tag surprise. City Staff will be on the lookout for local cyclists in Charlottetown.
Wednesday, June 11
Rising Tide: Weekly E-Bike Ride
6:30 p.m.
Location: Rising Tide E-Bikes
Host: Rising Tide E-Bikes
Join Rising Tides E-Bikes for a weekly evening ride open to all cyclists, whether you're on an e-bike or a regular bicycle. This is a free, relaxed group ride perfect for connecting with fellow riders and enjoying the outdoors. Don’t have an e-bike but would like to try one out? Thirsty Thursday Mountain Bike Group Ride
6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Location: Acadian Forest Trail (meet at Parkman Soccer Complex Parking Lot)
Host: Geoff Murray, PEI Bike Guy
Join PEI Bike Guy (aka Geoff Murray) for the ‘Thirsty Thursday’ mountain bike ride at the Acadian Forest Trail in East Royalty. This is a weekly event for those aged 19+ and is open to beginner and advanced riders. Participants will meet at the Parkman Soccer Complex, 62 Robertson Road, for a free, 1.5-hour ride, followed by a social gathering hosted by Red Island Cider. Refreshments and hand pies will be available for purchase. Bring your mountain bike and helmet and meet new cycling friends while exploring Charlottetown’s beautiful biking trails.

Mayor’s Ride Bike Bus Celebration
This year the annual Mayor's Ride will take place in collaboration with a local elementary school's weekly Bike Bus ride. Mayor Brown and Councillors will join to celebrate the school's successful Bike Bus pilot program and their commitment to active transportation.
