The Climate Action Microgrants program provides funding to individuals or community organizations planning events or projects that work towards the goals and actions of the City’s Climate Action Plan. Eligible projects may receive up to $2,500 to help turn community-based environment and sustainability ideas into action.
Since the program began in 2011, more than $237,000 in funding has supported more than 110 Charlottetown community sustainability projects and events, ranging from a coffee pod recycling initiative to a backup power and emergency readiness program to an edible garden tour.
