Newcomer Welcome Events


The City of Charlottetown is once again hosting its Newcomer Welcome Events this Fall, to welcome and to provide information to new residents about the City and the departments within City Hall.

Mayor's Newcomer Welcome Reception

The Mayor's Newcomer Welcome Reception will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at City Hall. This is a free event open to all new residents who live and work in Charlottetown. Newcomers will have the opportunity to meet the Mayor and Council members, as well as other newcomers in the community. Registration is not required for this event.

Newcomer Orientation Sessions

There will be two Newcomer Orientation Sessions, featuring information from numerous departments at City Hall. The sessions will also include a reception, followed by a tour of the Charlottetown Fire Department, Station 1. This is a great opportunity for newcomers to learn more about City Hall and ask any questions they may have.

The Newcomer Orientation Sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday, September 25 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
  • Tuesday, October 30 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The Newcomer Orientation Sessions are free and open to new residents of Charlottetown. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pre-registration is required, using the form below.
