Annual Service Awards Recognize Long-Serving Employees and Retirees
Posted on 06/25/2026
The City of Charlottetown celebrated employees for their years of public service during its 2026 Service Recognition Ceremony on June 23.
Each year, the City recognizes employees who have reached key career milestones and those entering retirement. The event recognizes the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of staff members who help deliver the programs and services residents rely on every day.
“The services our residents count on are made possible by dedicated employees working hard behind the scenes and on the front lines throughout our community,” said Mayor Philip Brown. “The Service Awards are an opportunity to recognize their commitment to public service and to thank them for their positive contributions to Charlottetown over the years.”
This year’s ceremony recognized employees from a variety of City departments who achieved service milestones ranging from five to 35 years, along with several retirements.
Human Resources Manager Emilee MacLeod said the ceremony recognizes employees whose experience, knowledge, and leadership have helped strengthen the organization and support the delivery of municipal services.
“Our long-serving employees make a lasting impact across the organization,” said MacLeod. “They mentor colleagues, help maintain a strong workplace culture, and play an important role in helping the City meet the needs of residents. We are grateful for their dedication and contributions.”
