Help Keep Our Boardwalks Safe for Everyone

With the Victoria Day long weekend coming up to mark the unofficial start of the summer season, the City is reminding residents and visitors to follow important safety guidelines when using boardwalks along the waterfront.
All boardwalks are for pedestrians only. To ensure the safety and comfort of all users, bicycles, skateboards and scooters are not permitted on boardwalks at any time. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs and other assistive devices are always welcome on the boardwalks.
At Victoria Park, cyclists, skateboarders and individuals on scooters are encouraged to use the active transportation lane running alongside the Victoria Park Roadway.
The City reminds all users to be courteous, obey signage and to share our public spaces respectfully.
These rules help make it easier for everyone to enjoy our waterfront spaces safely.
