Seasonal Water Restrictions in Effect

Seasonal Water Restrictions in Effect
Posted on 08/11/2025
Seasonal water restrictions are in place until Sept. 30 in Charlottetown.

The mandatory restrictions allow for outdoor watering in the morning between 5 and 10 a.m. and in the evening between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., to a maximum of two hours per day. Hosing of hard surfaces, including sidewalks and driveways, is prohibited while restrictions are in effect.

Restrictions are required to ensure usage does not exceed the City’s capacity to supply water. Hot, dry conditions are expected to continue this week and the City continues to closely monitor water levels. The public will be notified when and if additional restrictions are required.
