The City of Charlottetown is pleased to announce the release of the 2024-2025 Community Report.

The annual Community Report reflects on dozens of projects, events and initiatives made possible by City staff, Council, and community partners over the past year. Together, these initiatives represent significant progress on key areas of the City’s Strategic Plan and our efforts to build a more vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive community.

“The Community Report reflects the values and vision of our community – highlighting not only the progress we’ve made together, but also the many opportunities that lie ahead,” said Mayor Philip Brown. “I’m inspired by the meaningful work happening in our city and encourage everyone to read the report and celebrate our shared success.”

Key highlights of the 2024-2025 report include:

• Major infrastructure achievements, including the new Simmons Sports Centre and Eastern Gateway project.
• The City’s first-ever Climate Action Plan.
• Progress on the City’s Housing Accelerator Fund commitments and efforts to incentivize affordable housing.
• Community initiatives like the new Bike Bus program.
• Reflections on Charlottetown’s momentum as a premier sport tourism destination.

“From infrastructure development to climate action and community-based programs, every success in this report is the result of thoughtful planning, strong collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering excellent services to our residents,” said CAO Brad MacConnell.
