Queen Street Sidewalk and Parking Closure

Details: A section of sidewalk and on-street parking along Queen Street will be temporarily closed to support accessibility upgrades at the Queen Street entrance of the new addition to the Confederation Centre of the Arts. This work requires the temporary removal of the sidewalk to allow for demolition activities at the construction site. The sidewalk will be fully reinstalled prior to reopening on June 1.
Traffic Impacts: This section of sidewalk and on-street parking along Queen Street will be closed. Signage will be in place to inform pedestrians of the closure and direct them to a temporary pedestrian pathway.
The temporary pathway will maintain pedestrian access on both sides of the street and will remain open at all times. In limited instances, access may be briefly restricted to allow large trucks to access the construction site. Contractor personnel will be onsite during these periods to assist pedestrians and provide direction.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution and follow all posted signage while travelling through the area.
