City Announces Interim Fire Chief

The City of Charlottetown has appointed an interim fire chief for the Charlottetown Fire
Department (CFD) following a recent leadership change.
 
Tim Jenkins has been named interim fire chief for a six-month term, effective April 14. Jenkins has been with CFD for 38 years and has held the position of captain since 2010, bringing extensive operational experience and leadership within the department.  
 
“Our priority is to support our firefighters and maintain safe, uninterrupted fire and emergency services,” said Chief Administrative Officer Brad MacConnell. “Tim is a respected leader who is well positioned to guide the team and maintain continuity in the months ahead.”
 
The City will begin a formal recruitment process for a permanent fire chief in the coming weeks.
