The City is expanding T3 Transit service with new Saturday and Sunday service on several routes, providing more options for residents travelling throughout Charlottetown on weekends.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 15, Routes 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, and 23 will operate seven days a week.
The expanded weekend service includes:
New Saturday service:
• Route 10 – East Royalty to and from Royalty Crossing Mall: Departures from Royalty Crossing Mall at 8:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3:15 p.m., with the last service run at 5:15 p.m.

Route 11 – Charlottetown Alexander B. Campbell Airport: Departing Royalty Crossing Mall at 7:15 a.m., 8:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., with the last departure at 5:45 p.m.

Route 12 – Winsloe: Departing Royalty Crossing Mall at 7:45 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., with the last departure at 6:15 p.m.
New Sunday service:
•
Routes 2, 3, and 23: Hourly departures from downtown from 10:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and from Royalty Crossing Mall from 11:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. These core routes serve North River Road, Beach Grove, West Royalty, St. Peters Road, Kensington Road, Sherwood and Hillsborough Park.

“Expanding weekend service makes public transit a more practical and convenient option,” said Councillor Trevor MacKinnon, Chair of the Environment and Sustainability Committee. “These improvements give residents more flexibility to use transit for work, appointments, shopping and other weekend activities around Charlottetown.”
Improved evening and weekend transit service was the highest priority identified through public consultation during development of the capital region municipalities’
10-year transit plan. This weekend expansion is the third and final T3 Transit service upgrade being rolled out this summer.
Transit riders are encouraged to use smartphone trip-planning apps such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, and the Transit app to plan their trips. Riders can also view complete schedules, route maps, and service information at
