Public Invited to Charlottetown Fire Department Open House

The Charlottetown Fire Department is inviting the community to an all-ages open house to kick off Fire Prevention Week.
Event details:
Date: Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Charlottetown Fire Department Station 1, 89 Kent St.
This free, community event offers a unique opportunity to learn about fire safety and meet local firefighters. Light refreshments will be served, and all members of the public are welcome to attend.
Activities will include:
• Guided fire station tours
• Firefighter games and activities for youth
• Live equipment demonstrations
• Exciting firefighter competitions including a skills challenge, bunker gear duty race, and hose replacement relay
Please note that Kent Street between Queen Street and Pownal Street will be closed to traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 and no parking will be permitted from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate activities outside Station 1.
