Multi-Use Groomed Winter Trail
To encourage public use during winter months 8km of winter trail grooming will occur as part of a Pilot Project at trails located at Acadian Forest, Andrews Pond & Wrights Creek.

Acadian Forest Trails freshly groomed and ready for some traffic. Use your best judgment but probably suitable for skinny tires for those without a fatbike but jonesing for a ride.
Free Snowshoe Sign-outs
In the winter months snowshoes are available for a daily sign-out Monday - Friday at the Charlottetown Parks & Recreation Office (199 Queen St) between 8:00am - 4:30pm. There are a limited number of snowshoes available on a first come first serve basis. Snowshoes must be returned by 3:00 pm the following business day. Snowshoes are also available for use at the Victoria Park Ballfield Clubhouse on Sundays from 1:00 - 3:00pm (DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS IS COMPLETE FOR MARCH 2022). On Fridays (February 4- March 4) in partnership with Ice City snowshoes will be available at the Victoria Park Ballfield Clubhouse from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. There are a limited number of snowshoes available on a first come first serve basis.
City Hall has reopened to the public, however people should call 902-368-1025 ahead of arrival to reserve your snowshoes over the phone. Be prepared to provide general contact information including credit card information (for deposit purposes only).

Outdoor Rinks

All participants are required to wear CSA approved helmets while on the outdoor rinks. Please adhere to the posted capacity of each outdoor rink facility. It is recommended that participants wear a face mask when at an outdoor rink facility.
Participants must follow recommendations of the Chief Public Health Office.
Maintain a minimum 6ft social distance from others outside your household/steady 10.
Stay home if you are deemed a close contact of a positive case, have travelled recently or are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. Frequently washing and sanitizing hands.
For the rinks designated as recreational skating (with the exception of Founders Hall Greenspace) pick-up hockey is permitted (please follow CPHO guidelines). Please be respectful and share the ice with other users.

ALL OUTDOOR RINKS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2022 SEASON.
Please note that consistent temperatures of -6º are ideal to build and maintain the outdoor rinks.
