Historic Pop-up Exhibit “Winter in the City” showcases artifacts and photos of bygone days
Posted on 02/21/2024
The City of Charlottetown’s historic pop-up exhibit entitled ‘Winter in the City’ is now open.

Created in partnership with the Prince Edward Island Regiment Museum, the display features historic images from the city’s collection depicting Charlottetown’s bygone days and residents enjoying the year’s coldest season. Various artifacts such as an antique hockey stick, snowshoes and a vintage wooden sled are also part of the exhibit.

The display is located on the first floor of the Confederation Court Mall and will be available for viewing during regular mall hours until March 18, 2024.

The City and the Prince Edward Island Regiment Museum would like to thank the Confederation Court Mall for providing the exhibit space and all the individuals and organizations – particularly the P.E.I. Museum and Heritage Foundation – who generously contributed artifacts to the exhibit.

Please contact the Planning and Heritage Department at 902-629-4051 or by email at [email protected] for information on how to donate historic photos or to permit the city to scan your historic images.
