Posted on 07/22/2025
The annual PEI Pride Parade will take place in Charlottetown on Saturday, July 26, with an earlier start time of 11 a.m. (previously 12 p.m.).

The parade will begin at the Provincial Government parking lot near Terry Fox Drive and travel along Euston Street, turning right onto Great George Street, Grafton Street, Pownal Street, and finishing with a left turn onto Fitzroy Street.
To accommodate the event, road closures will be in place along the parade route and adjacent intersections starting at 9 a.m. and will reopen following the conclusion of the parade.

To reduce traffic congestion, residents are encouraged to walk, bike or take transit. A 15-minute bike radius (purple) and a 15-minute walk radius (blue) map is attached below to assist with planning.

Motorists should allow extra time when travelling through the city before, during and after the event. Vehicle access in and out of impacted areas will be limited during the parade. Alternate route planning is advised.

T3 Transit buses 1, 2, 3, 7, and 23 will follow detour routes during the event. Detour maps are attached below. All buses will return to normal service by 1:15 p.m.

A low-sensory viewing area will again be available at Rochford Square for individuals seeking a quieter parade experience. Due to the slight route change, the viewing area will be on the Pownal Street side of the park.

Charlottetown Police Services, City crews and volunteers will be stationed throughout the parade route. There will be zero tolerance for aggressive or non-compliant behaviour and motorists who ignore road closures may be ticketed.

The City thanks residents, businesses and visitors for their patience and cooperation in supporting this important community celebration.
