The City of Charlottetown is inviting residents to participate in an upcoming public engagement session to help shape the City’s 2027-2031 Strategic Plan and share their budget priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.
The in-person engagement session will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre, Rotary Auditorium, 97 Queen St.
The City is developing its next strategic plan to guide municipal priorities, decision-making, and investments over the coming years. Building on the progress of the
2022-2026 Strategic Plan, the new plan will help establish priorities that respond to the needs of Charlottetown’s growing and evolving community. Residents are encouraged to share their perspectives on the issues, opportunities, and priorities they believe should guide the City’s work over the next four years.
Residents will also have an opportunity to provide input on the City’s 2027-2028 municipal budget, including priorities for municipal services, programs, and infrastructure investments. The annual budget process helps establish financial priorities for the upcoming fiscal year while balancing current needs with long-term financial sustainability.
The session will feature information displays and opportunities to speak with City staff and share feedback. Residents can move through the displays at their own pace and provide input on both initiatives.
Public feedback will help inform the development of the new strategic plan and support Council’s consideration of priorities during the upcoming budget process.
More information about each initiative is available through the City’s
2027-2031 Strategic Plan project page and
