Temporary Traffic and Pedestrian Disruptions – Downtown Charlottetown

Duration: Sat. Aug. 8 from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Details: Temporary pedestrian restrictions, parking restrictions, and traffic disruptions will be in effect intermittently on select streets in downtown Charlottetown beginning at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, to accommodate permitted activity requiring the temporary use of public streets and spaces.
All residents and businesses impacted by permitted temporary closures and traffic disruptions will be notified directly.
The following areas will be affected:
• Victoria Row (Richmond Street) between Queen Street and Great George Street
• Great George Street between Richmond Street and Water Street
• Water Street between Haviland Street and Prince Street
• Sydney Street between Pownal Street and Prince Street
• Union Street between Dorchester Street and Water Street
• King Street between Union Street and Pownal Street
• Pownal Street between Richmond Street and Water Street
Traffic Impacts: Parking restrictions will begin in the early morning on Saturday, Aug. 8, in select locations. Temporary no-parking signage will be posted in advance to identify affected areas.
On Saturday, Aug. 8, pedestrians and motorists should expect temporary restrictions, intermittent traffic delays, and street closures in affected areas throughout the day. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct traffic and pedestrian movements as required.
