Construction Work on Exhibition Drive to Begin June 8

Location: Exhibition Drive
Date: Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8 and will continue throughout the 2026 construction season. There will be a two-week pause in construction during Old Home Week.
Time: Traffic restrictions will remain in place for the duration of the construction period.
Details: The project involves the full reconstruction of Exhibition Drive from Kensington Road to Riverside Drive. Work includes upgrades to underground water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater infrastructure, as well as new pavement, curbs, landscaping, and the construction of a multi-use pathway along the north side of the street.
Traffic Impacts: Beginning June 8, Exhibition Drive will operate as a one-way street in the eastbound direction from Kensington Road to Riverside Drive. Access to businesses and properties on Exhibition Drive will be maintained throughout construction.
Motorists are advised to use caution when travelling through the area and to follow all posted signage and traffic control measures. Digital message boards will be installed near the construction zone to advise the travelling public of traffic impacts and alternative routes.
The City will provide regular updates through its social media channels throughout the construction period.
