Outdoor Rinks Now Open for the Season

The City of Charlottetown’s Parks and Recreation Department advises residents that as of January 28, all city-owned outdoor rinks are open for the season.

The following rinks are open daily for recreational skating:

• Founders Hall Greenspace Artificial Ice, 8 Lower Prince St.
Elmer MacFadyen Memorial Recreational Complex, 55 MacRae Dr.
• Gordie Griffin Multi-Sport Facility, 199 Patterson Dr.
• West Royalty Community Centre, 1 Kirkdale Rd.
• Mulberry Park Multi-Sport Facility, 7 Mulberry Ave.
• Winsloe Lions Club, 14 Campbell Rd.

Participants are required to wear CSA-approved helmets on all outdoor rinks.

Please note that consistent temperatures of -6 degrees Celsius are required to maintain outdoor ice surfaces. Rinks will remain open as long as weather conditions permit.
